Location and Surroudings
Ardlui is located in the heart of the Trossachs National Park at the head of Loch Lomond - the furthest point north the loch stretches. Neighbouring Towns
Heading south along the loch, you will encounter another small village called Inverluglas which is four miles from Ardlui, and another four miles again to the larger town of Tarbet. The cities of Glasgow and Stirling are just over an hour's drive away at approximately 50 miles distance from Ardlui. It strikes the perfect balance between the romantic isolation of the Scottish scenery and being conveniently close enough to large Scottish cities and travel links.

Getting to Ardlui
The West Highland Line passes through as it travels between Glasgow and either Fort William or Oban to the north - this means it is very easy to get a direct train to Ardlui. The Royal Scotsman takes this route. There are also direct busses from Glasgow and other Scottish towns. By road, the A82 passes through Ardlui.

Fishing
Ardlui visitors who fancy a day out fishing are spoilt for choice with the surrounding freshwater fishing opportunities. A huge variety is catered for, including fishing from the shore or by boat, allowing visitors to look forward to catching salmon, brown and rainbow trout, pike and perch.
