About Cuilfail Hotel: The Cuilfail (pronounced Coolfail) Hotel has a long tradition of offering Highland hospitality to visitors to the Lorne area, a beautiful corner of Argyll. Part of the hotel was originally an old Drovers' Inn, however the majority of the hotel was built during the Victorian era. The hotel nestles at the foot of rolling hills close to the shores of Loch Melfort. The name Cuilfail in Gaelic appropriately means "Sheltered Corner".
