About The Lodge Guest House: The Lodge has been described as one of the outstanding townhouses of Elgin designed in 1898 by A & W Reid whose other high profile commissions including the Elgin club, the 1885 Academy(now Moray College), Maryhill (previously Maternity Hospital), The Braelossie Hotel and the Sheriff Court. Our facilities include a turreted guest lounge with a selection of books and magazines in which you are welcome to sip your malt whiskies or play some of the games provided. Our dining room has individual tables with a buffet cold selection and our menu offers a vast array of local produce from Moray bacon to Buckie smoked haddock. We have two double / family rooms, two twin bedded and four single rooms, all with en suite facilities, TV's and hostess trays. Two of our rooms are downstairs and can accommodate wheel chairs.
Surrounding area: The Lodge is situated in a tree lined peaceful Avenue and is approx. a seven minute walk to the High Street and is close to the Railway Station. Parking is off-street inside our secluded gardens. Walking distances also include our historic Cathedral, the Biblical Garden, Johnstons Woollen Mill, Moray Leisure Centre and the Bus Station. Or whether you are here for the whisky. Speyside has the only Whisky Trail in the World and the distilleries are pleased to guide guests around or give tutored nosing. The Lodge happily provides glasses and ice! Whatever your reasons for visiting Moray, we would welcome the opportunity of meeting and looking after you at The Lodge.
Additional notes: We welcome all our guests whether they are here for the golf - Moray has many courses - links, inland, championship and budget all off which are of short travelling distance. We provide drying facilities.
