Surrounding area: Corrimony's idyllic location on an elevated site, of a quiet back road on the outskirts of the village of Dulnain-Bridge, right in the heart of beautiful Strathspey, shows open views over the fields and forests onto the nearby Cromdale hills, making this a splendid base from which to explore the Highlands, the North East Coast or the charming fishing villages and white sandy beaches dotted all around the Moray-Shire coast line. The unique setting of this home puts you at the centre of an area, unrivalled in the whole of Scotland, for exploring the natural beauty, fascinating history and extensive attractions which all lie within an hours drive of your front door. It would be extremely difficult to list all of the attractions and places of interest which can be found nearby, because you are literally only two or three hours drive from "any" location in Scotland, including the Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland, therefore we have listed below many of the attractions which can be found within an hours drive of your location. The Aviemore Centre, Landmark Forest Park, Loch Garten ospreys, Strathspey Steam Railway, Abernethy Forests, the famous Speyside Whisky Trail, the Waltzing Waters of Newtonmore, Kincraig's Highland Wildlife park, Cawdor Castle, Rothiemurchus Highland Estate and the beautiful Loch An Eilan, the Speyside Heather Centre, and for the night owls you can even go on the local badger watch. Hill walking and mountain climbing, salmon and trout fishing on the many local lochs and rivers, Golfing (there are eight courses to be found within a twenty mile radius), tennis and bowling courts in Grantown-on-spey, pony trekking, wind surfing and canoeing at Loch Insh, off road jeep driving, ski-ing and snow boarding at the Cairngorms and Lecht ski centres, ice skating and curling at Aviemore, and there are unlimited opportunities for taking relaxing forest and riverside walks where you can see a wide variety of local birds and animals, going about life in their natural habitat. Half an hours drive will take you to the Highland capital of Inverness, which has a fine selection of shops and attractions including cinemas, ten pin bowling, swimming pools, museums restaurants, theatres and also close by is Urquhart Castle and the world famous Loch-Ness.
Additional notes: The splendid accommodation consists of two double (one of which has a four poster bed), and two twin bedded rooms set on two levels, which are tastefully fitted out with antique pine furnishings, quality beds and also carpets and curtains. There is a bathroom situated on the ground floor with an additional shower room upstairs. The spacious lounge has fine views over the fields and forest, and has large comfortable sofas and chairs. This is equipped with an audio system, colour television, and video recorder. The room leads directly into the dinette with its fine oak table and chairs which has French doors taking you out into the attractive surrounding garden. The fully equipped country style kitchen has an oven and hob extractor system, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer, microwave oven, extensive crockery and utensils and is also fitted with a 12 place dishwasher, to rid you of the chore of always having to do the washing up. This fully insulated home was built to withstand the rigours of our Highland winters and has full oil central heating, so together with all your electricity and bed linen being supplied at no extra cost, your warmth and comfort are totally assured at all times. The large well kept garden which borders this property has ample off road parking for up to four cars, and is very well situated being only a few minutes walk from the local Hotel, and there are also three award winning Restaurants which can all be reached within a leisurely five minutes drive.
