Surrounding area: Port Bannatyne lies in North Bute about 3 miles north of the ferry port at Rothesay. Boats sail over from Wemyss Bay on the mainland in half an hour. Northern Bute is a true highland wilderness, with amazing walks, abundance of wildlife, seals, deer, hares etc. and umpteen birds. The bay has its own yacht marina and boatyard, and a wonderful golf course.

We are in the centre of Isle of Bute.

The nearest train station is Wemyss Bay and it is 2 mile(s) away.

The nearest airport is Glasgow Int and it is 15 mile(s) away.

Additional notes: Our menus are shown in full on www.russiantavern.co.uk
The cuisine is Imperial Russian carefully researched in the Tsar'sarchives in St Petersburg. All meals are cooked freshly from fresh local ingredients. Our garden provides vegetables, salads and herbs, and we have our own fisherman.
Fabulous langoustines from the bay. Count Nikiolai Tolstoy unprompted said, "This is the best beef Stroganoff I have tasted.... EVER!" Clientele: Foreign tourists, visiting yachtsmen, and urbane professional types. CAMRA Scottish Pub of the Year.
