About Rhins of Galloway: The Rhins of Galloway Hotel sits by the A77 in an acre and a half of lawn gardens, 20 yards from the coast, and overlooking Loch Ryan.
We offer Bed & Breakfast accommodation with option of evening meal (please advise beforehand), and also have a self-catering holiday flat.
We are a non-smoking establishment.
Surrounding area: We are 1 mile south of the village of Cairnryan, from where P&O ferry sailing’s depart to Larne, and 4 miles north of Stranraer, from where Stena Line currently sail to Belfast.
We are 4 mile(s) from
Stranraer
centre.
The nearest train station is Stranraer
and it is 4 mile(s) away.
The nearest airport is Prestwick
and it is 60 mile(s) away.
Additional notes: The building has been under current ownership since May 2004, and although it has the scale and design affording a hotel, it offers the friendliness and prices that define a quality B&B. Whilst the bedrooms are decorated with new furniture, the bedroom corridors and other communal areas provide a mix of antiques and modern design.
The food is simple and beautifully presented, providing quality at a reasonable price, and opened by the Duchess of Gloucester in 1943, the building itself boasts a history that can make a place feel very special.
We have a very large parking area and cars may be parked close to entrances to hotel and flat, but although all accommodation is on the ground floor, there are several steps up to the main hotel, and a single step into the holiday flat. The flat is not equipped for disabled use, but it has been used by wheelchair users, and said to be ideal.
