About Highland Chalet: Highland Chalet self catering in Spean Bridge near Fort William in the Highlands of Scotland. Situated in the beautiful Great Glen, "Ar Taigh Fiodh" (gaelic translation meaning "our wooden house") is an excellent base, from where you can explore the majestic Scottish Highlands. The chalet, adjoining our garden, enjoys a village setting within easy walking distance of a shop, pub and restaurants to suit all tastes.

Prices range from: £200 to £400 Per Week

Surrounding area: Set in beautiful countryside, Spean Bridge is an ideally set location for exploring the Highlands of Scotland. It has fantastic views with quiet country walks and mountain biking tracks. There are two museums and a memorial which pay tribute to the commando's who trained in this area during World War 2. There is also a woollen mill with a coffee shop, shopping and a good selection of tartans. Nearby, within walking distance, is a golf course. Fishing is also available locally.

Nine miles south on the A82, at the foot of magnificent Ben Nevis, is Fort William. It boasts good shopping with a large supermarket. There is also a leisure centre with facilities including an indoor swimming pool, climbing wall, tennis, gym and squash courts. At the Ben Nevis Distillery, you can sample the local whisky and enjoy an informative tour. There are a good selection of Restaurants and evening entertainment is also available in the summer season. A museum with local historical information, sits in the centre of the town.

We are in the centre of Spean Bridge.

The nearest train station is Spean Bridge which is a short walk away.

The nearest airport is Inverness and it is 60 mile(s) away.

Additional notes: Bedding is provided, towels are not supplied. Electricity is also included. The chalet sleeps 4 + 1 child. There is a lovely veranda that extends from the front of the chalet leading to a patio area, with wooden garden furniture and summer barbecue. Ample parking for 2 cars and ramp leading to front door.
