About Melfort House: Melfort house is the family home of Matthew and Yvonne Anderson and their two daughters Phoebe and Georgina. After coming to settle on the West Coast of Scotland, their decision to provide Bed & Breakfast (and dinner!) was inspired by Matthew's passion and talent for cooking and Yvonne's love of entertaining and eye for elegant interiors. Our three luxurious guest bedrooms have been finished with your total comfort and relaxation in mind. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with shower and superking size beds dressed with crisp fresh white bed linen. Graceful antiques, comfortable seating and spectacular views make our rooms havens of relaxation. Each room has a hairdryer, tea and coffee, heated towel rail, LCD TV and a DVD player. We have a comprehensive DVD library which guests are invited to use. In the mornings you will be enticed down to breakfast with such delicacies as local free range eggs, bacon, Stornoway black pudding, home made tattie scones, kedgeree, chilli omelettes and fruits that are in season, all served in our elegant dining room looking south over Loch Melfort to Shuna, Scarba and Jura beyond. If you arrive around four o'clock we will serve you complimentary afternoon tea and freshly baked scones in the drawing room. Then enjoy a long hot soak in one of our deep baths before coming down for a complimentary drink before dinner. The bath, of course is entirely optional. We would be delighted to provide you with a sumptuous three course dinner in our dining room. Only the finest local produce is used so please give us 24 hours notice if you would like to dine. As we are not licensed we would invite you to bring your own wines for dinner.
