About Para Handy Cottage: Stay in Neil Munro’s birthplace, renown author of the Para Handy Tales. Self-catering, cosy ground floor flat with uninterrupted views onto Loch Fyne. Very central, next to the historical Inveraray Jail and close to the shops, hotels, and other attractions such as the Castle and Arctic Penguin (Maritime Museum). Sleeps 2-4 people, twin bedroom, sitting room with double sofa bed. Additional sitting area with TV, dining area, fully fitted and equipped kitchen, toilet and large shower. Parking available to the front of the cottage, or close by.

Surrounding area: Take a few steps through the lane to the side of the cottage and arrive at the square in front of the well know Inveraray Jail museum. Amble on through the square into the town’s Main Street, browse and visit an excellent variety of shops, cafés and hotels. Wander onto the pier and visit the Arctic Penguin - the marine museum, or see the Vital Spark tied up alongside (a restoration project of the "Clyde Puffer" filmed in Para Handy Tales), climb the Bell Tower, or take a walk up to Inveraray Castle (seat of the Duke of Argyll). Pop into the Tourist Information to find out more. There are many places to visit and so many things to discover within a short walking distance or journey time.
