Surrounding area: The village of Drumnadrochit which is just a 15 minute walk from Burnbrae has several excellent bars and restaurants along with shops, bank, post office and visitor exhibitions. Urquhart Castle, with its excellent visitor centre, is only 3 miles away and boat trips on Loch Ness can be arranged for sightseeing or Nessie spotting! Horse riding, mountain biking, walking, and much more are available in the area surrounding the village and just a little further a field are castles, gardens, distilleries, museums, etc to visit. In the Moray Firth you can watch the dolphins from the shore or take a boat trip to get a closer view.
