About Wigmore Restaurant: Situated just off Brook Street in Broughty Ferry Dundee, we have been established in Erskine Lane for 16 years serving local, regular customers and visitors from far and wide in relaxed, comfortable surroundings.

Surrounding area: Broughty Ferry was once the 'richest square mile in Europe'. This was where the wealthy jute barons built their mansions. However, long before the arrival of the jute barons, the town was but a cluster of fisherfolks' cottages around the harbour. It would not have been unusual to see fishermen mending their nets in the shadow of Broughty Ferry castle (built 1496). Today the castle is a fascinating museum, following the fortune of Broughty Ferry and its association with fisherfolk and the whaling industry.
