About The Bistro, Lochcarron: The Bistro shares premises with The Julienne Scotson Gift Shop in the centre of Lochcarron. Julienne has quickly made a name for herself for the high standard of her cooking. Apart from her degree in catering, Julienne's cooking skills derive much from working in world class hotels in Martha's Vineyard. She takes a pride in using only fresh - never processed or frozen - ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible. Julienne places great importance also on staff training and is rightly proud of her friendly and efficient waiting staff.
Surrounding area: The Bistro sits in the centre of Lochcarron's Main Street, and has wonderful views over the loch. Lochcarron itself is a delightful village of around 800 inhabitants, strung out along the edge of the loch that bears its name. Lochcarron and The Bistro are well worth a visit - be sure to include Lochcarron if you are doing a tour that includes Applecross, Plockton and Kyle of Lochalsh!
