18th century house in which E.A. Hornel, the artist of "Glasgow Boys" fame, added a gallery and studio. The Japanese influenced garden is still much as he created it. The house contains many of his paintings and an extensive collection of Scottish books; including titles by local authors (e.g. S.R. Crocket), an exceptional Burns collection, Thomas Carlyle; Scott; Barrie etc.
Opening Times Easter to October:1pm-5:30pm Monday to Sunday.
Admission Adult: £2.40, Children & Concession: £1.60, Family: £6.40
