Guided tours of the lead mine and period cottages see how families lived and worked in Wanlockhead in the 18th and 19th centuries. Miners library with multi-media touch screen presentation, visitors centre with a superb display of rare minerals and mining equipment, including working models of mining machinery, many "hands on" exhibitions. There is also a newly opened Gold panning centre, where you can try your hand at panning, maybe take home a piece of Scottish gold.
