A fascinating glimpse of bygone Scottish Country life
A personal collection of everday and unusal items from around the North East of Scotland, the museum, gathers together household equipment, clothes, pictures, souvenirs, farm implements, old journals and farm records to give a fascinating glimpse of bygone Scottish country life.
The exhibits occupy several rooms and outbuildings of Drumin farmhouse - built as the residence of the Duke of Gordon's factor for the glenlivet estate. Within the grounds of the house stand the romantic ruins of Drumin castle, dating from the 14th century and once a stronghold of the wolf of Badenoch.
Drumin is about 1 mile west of the junction of the B9008 and B9136 roads at bridgend of Glenlivet and about 9 miles north of the bridge of avon junction of the A939 and B9136.
Opening Times 10.30 am - 5.30 pm Monday to Saturday
Closed on Sundays
(evening and Sunday viewing and parties by appointment)
