Port Bannatyne lies in North Bute about 3 miles north of the
ferry port at Rothesay. Boats sail over from Wemyss Bay on
the mainland in half an hour. Northern Bute is a true highland
wilderness, with amazing walks, abundance of wildlife, seals, deer, hares etc. and umpteen birds. The bay has its own yacht marina and boatyard, and a wonderful golf course.
