The Tall Ship at Riverside: Welcome aboard the Tall Ship Glenlee. Built at Port Glasgow in 1896, she is one of only 5 Clydebuilt sailing ships remaining afloat in the world and the only one in Scotland.

Take a voyage back in time to relive the excitement and danger of rounding Cape Horn in the teeth of a gale. Imagine running before the storms of the Roaring Forties in the Great Southern Ocean. Marvel at the courage of the sailors as they worked hundreds of feet above a foaming ocean or struggled waist deep in the maelstrom of the main deck awash with angry ocean.

A visit to the Glenlee is both captivating and informative - don't miss it! Families can take part in activities and events or just follow a fun Discovery trail around the ship, looking out for Jock, the ship's cat. Tour group visits are given a warm welcome and can book a guided tour in advance by calling +44 (0) 141 357 3699.

Conference and Function Facilities

The Tall Ship at Riverside is Glasgow's most unusual venue for corporate events and weddings, parties and other private functions for parties of up to 350. Entertain your guests aboard the 103-year old Glenlee or in the historic B-listed Pumphouse building. A high standard of hospitality and catering will ensure your event's success.

The Pumphouse Visitor Centre and Quays

For more than a hundred years, the banks of the Clyde were lined with shipyards that built the best ships in the world. The Pumphouse was built in 1877 to produce hydraulic power for the Queen's Dock.
Inside the Pumphouse today you will find galleries with permanent exhibits and occasional touring exhibitions.

When they returned to port sailors always headed for the nearest hostelry, so why not enjoy a coffee and a cake while relaxing in the friendly atmosphere of the Pumphouse cafe with Glasgow's finest view down the River Clyde. And don't forget to take home a keepsake of your voyage from our nautical souvenir shop...with a great range of unusual gifts and toys, starting at pocket money prices.
