Balvenie Castle: Picturesque ruins of a 13th century moated castle. The Comyns originally owned the castle with additional building being undertaken during the 15th and 16th centuries. The castle has had many noted visitors over the centuries including Edward the Ist in 1304 and Mary, Queen of Scots in 1562. The Duke of Cumberland occupied it in 1746 following Culloden battle.

Open summer only.
25 March ‐ 30 September: Monday ‐ Sunday, 9.30am ‐ last entry 6.00pm (closes at 6.30pm).
