About St Ronan's Hotel: The St. Ronan's is a small family owned hotel in the heart of the beautiful Scottish Borders. The hotel first traded as such in 1827 and was then owned by the Earl of Traquair, however, parts of the actual building dates many years further back.

We have six letting bedrooms, five of which are en-suite, the sixth has its own private shower room. All rooms have remote control colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephones. Two of our rooms can cater for families and a cot is available on request.

We have a public bar serving real ales, beers wines and spirits with an open coal fire, a welcome sight on the cold winter nights (and on some summer nights too!!), a separate dining room where meals and snacks are served from noon till ten in the evening. To the rear of the hotel we have a car park and a large enclosed beer garden where meals and drinks can be served when the weather permits.

Surrounding area: Innerleithen has only recently become popular for mountain biking and has excellent trails for both downhill and cross country riders, local guides are on hand to take you on tours to see the sights, and bikes are available for hire. Fishing has always been popular as we are within walking distance of the river Tweed, we also have a nine hole golf course just outside Innerleithen in one of the most beautiful settings you can imagine.

Additional notes: Whilst staying at the Hotel, Guests can take advantage of a wealth of local historical sites, including the St. Ronan's Wells (made famous by Sir Walter Scott in his book of the same name), Sir Walter was a frequent visitor to Innerleithen as were his friends the bard Robert Burns and James Hogg the Ettrick Shepherd. Traquair Estate is one and a half miles from the Hotel and Traquair House is reputed to be the oldest inhabited house in Scotland, having played host to many famous guests throughout its turbulent history, Mary Queen of Scot's being one. Innerleithen is an ideal base for tourists as we are only 45 minutes drive from the capital city of Edinburgh and about the same distance from Glasgow in the west.

For Guests looking for a more relaxing break, you don't have far to travel to visit the historic border towns of Selkirk, Melrose, Jedburgh and Berwick upon Tweed.

We also have excellent facilities for walkers, being only a short distance from the Southern Upland Way, and being surrounded by hills, there is plenty of opportunities for local walks.
