Scotland Map Perthshire the gateway to the Highlands, is arguably one of Scotland's most picturesque regions. It is a place not merely to be passed through, indeed far from it. Perthshire is a fine and beautiful region, with a whole load of history to boot and of course, some 41 fine courses with remarkable variety.

For those who think that golf takes ages to play, there are some excellent and exiting 9-hole courses throughout the region, good practice ground before advancing on to the more challenging courses, most of which follow the natural contours of the land. They are plentiful in Perthshire.
Nestled amongst stunning scenery in and around the country town of Perth are some excellent courses, from some of Scotland's finest inland tests like the Kings Course at Gleneagles or the Rosemount Course at Blairgowrie, to quiet, peacefully hidden gems, sheltered by spectacular woodland that is predominantly Perthshire.

The meandering River Tay, breathtaking scenery including the Grampian mountain range, Angus glens and Creiff hills, the vivid yellow of gorse and broom, the enchanting purple heather, a rich diversity of plants and trees, make this not only an excellent golfing holiday destination but a marvellous feast for the eyes.
