Whiting Bay overlooks the sea towards the very southern portion of Scotland and has a good variety of accommodation and places to eat. There are some pleasant forest walks here, particularly the one leading to the island's most impressive Glenashdale Water Falls, where you will chance upon an art gallery. There is another walk worth mentioning to the Giants Graves.
